Hello guys, I am having a issue and wanted a second opinion before I go threw with completely replacing my mac key bored. So I updated my mac a day before the issue with the shift key. I got out the shower and had wet hair and a single drop of water dripped onto my keybored. Personally i recall it dripping onto my right shift, but my right shirt works normal. I downloaded the Keyremaper and i use it on the left shift key as we speak, But i personally hate the idea of my keybored being rigged. Anyways the left shift isnt working. I am not sure what i need to replace, I know the top case but is it just the keybored or everything in the top case.

The whole top cover will need to be replaced. You’ll also need more Phillips screws to screw the keyboard in and it requires special pliers to remove residual left overs of the pop rivets.
