Hi i’ve replaced the lcd of my Iphone 6 everything went great and once i put in the ribbon cable and tried to start it there were no signs of life. So i did the usual check, i tried another lcd, same thing. I connected the phone to the computer and it recognized the iphone but there is no vibration, no signs of life from the phone itself. I can feel the cpu getting hot but nothing else. Thanks.

The display connectors are really tiny and precise. I recommend using a hand ESD-safe blower to clean and a portable microscope to that check both sides of the connectors are truly dust free. Remember this phones are assembled in clean rooms, and our benches usually are a mess… This has happened to me before. I hope the probable short-circuit (chips heating up) has not toasted the boards yet. Cheers! Christian

Probably a blown backlight circuit, you can confirm this by turning on the phone on and using a flashlight to look for dim apple logo on the screen. Other cause could be damaged touch / display FPC connectors on the logic board that would usually need to be replaced. Both issues are solved via board level repair / micro soldering which you may be able to find someone that does it in your area
