Hello Guys, I have been replacing screens for iPhone for about 2 years now. A strange problem occurred today when I am trying to replace a 6s plus screen. I tested the screen before putting camera and home button assembly, tested again before screwing the bracket on the display connectors, and it was working fine. Now when I am placing it in iPhone, it doesn’t display anything. So I took if off the mobile and checked, it was working. I placed it again in the iPhone and doesn’t work. So the problem can be stated like this. the LCD is working fine until is not placed the body of iPhone, when it is placed in the body, it becomes dark and doesn’t show anything. Thanks in advance. First thing to try is plugging in a known working display into the phone. If that one works, then you know its a bad display. Its not uncommon for displays to work for a few seconds and then die. It doesn’t happen every day but it happens enough that its nothing special. If the known working one does the same thing, then you have a board level issue. I hear IP6+ and I think Touch IC disease but we would need some more information to make that diagnosis. Plug in a known good LCD, screw it down, dink with it for a couple minutes. Draw smiley faces or pics of dogs or whatever to pass the time. If it messes up, does it start with a grey bar at the top of the LCD? Give that a try and then update us.
