Plug the charger in and no charging lights come on. Power button makes a clicking sound when pressed. New after market charger. Battery reads 3.2 when tested on ohms meter. What is the problem? Also, looked at ram and it say 2GB. I thought this model was minimum of 4GB.
The fact you don’t even get a charging light could mean that the charge port or power board is faulty. It’s tricky to diagnose without a good root around but my next guess would be the CMOS battery could be dead. If replacing that didn’t sort it I’d look to the RAM. Faulty RAM would stop the BIOS/CMOS from even starting, but then again I think you’d still get a power light.
