Changed the display as directed here but now the Laptop is not powering up.
OK, the good news is the two systems are a match (same series) so the issue is not using the wrong display (Apple altered things a bit so while the displays look alike they aren’t across some series). Lets pop the bottom off and disconnect the batteries on both following this guide MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Display Assembly Replacement to the first six steps. Then jump down to Step 11 Take a nice tight picture of the cable and the connector like the third picture so we can see the solder joints and the gold contacts of the cable Adding images to an existing question
