My MacBook Air screen will occasionally black out and appear staticky (but is still functional). I am wondering if the MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) Display Assembly will help fix this issue. I’ve already purchased and installed a new battery. Anyone who has bought the display assembly kit, can you help answer this for me? Thank you so much in advance!

Let’s first finish checking things here. Have you tried connecting your system with an external display using a miniDP connection? I would give that a try, if the external screen is working properly then you do indeed need a new internal display. If it also shows distortion then your logic board needs repairs or replacement. From what you are describing I’m suspecting you’er right the display has issues. You may need to check the logic board LVDS connection (Steps19 & 20) The fix kit offers the needed tools (if you don’t have them) otherwise the part alone is all you need MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) Display Assembly and here’s the guide to put it in MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Display Assembly Replacement
