I bought brand new Lenovo ideapad without os and it wont run only on battery. Will the instalation of the windows maybe help? When its pluged in it works and boots up.
This sounds like the battery’s cable isn’t connected to the logic board. Was this a laptop that was bought second hand, or from a store? I’d see if you can report the issue from where you bought it from and see if you can get an RMA for the device, that way you won’t violate any warranty you might have.
