My lenovo g50-30 Laptop just died on me while using it, i opened it to check the cmos battery since the battery used to be faulty back then and to my surprise it was completely empty so right now its not showing any signs of life just the indicator lights so does this mean my laptop cannot boot without cmos battery ?
It should be able to boot to your ‘bios’ screen then, dependent on it’s age and whether it still store’s data old style or UEFI, you may need to set all your bios settings every time it loses power (until you replace that battery).
