I have a ASUS Vivobook S15 S530UN laptop. Recently I am having a problem . The problem is the lower part of the screen is flickering with red-colored ribbon when I turn on the laptop and persists all the time. But the interesting fact is that when I turn the air conditioner of my room ON, the display problem is almost solved automatically. It doesn’t solves 100% but the flickering is almost undetected. After I turn the Air conditioner OFF , the problem starts again. What is the reason of the problem? I have tried all software and driver related solutions but the problem has not been solved yet.

In my experience Asus laptops often have trouble with overheating but, I’m not sure that is what is causing your problem. If you move the screen does the problem change i.e a different screen color, splashes of color or even the screen turning off? If any of these symptoms occur you more likely have trouble with the screen cable. Often just reseating the side on the motherboard is sufficient buy you may also have to replace the cable.
