Hi, Can I eliminate the 1TB HDD and the 24GB Blade SSD Fusion Drive and replace it with just a Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB M.2 Blade SSD using a 12+16pin to M.2 NGFF M-Key SSD Convert for MacBook Pro retina A1502/A1398 Adapter? The Adapter ($3) is pretty cheap and the 1TB EVO is currently on sale ($180). Does anybody have experience with this scenario? I can’t say I have personal experience, but if you haven’t already purchased the SSD, I’d recommend going with a standard SATA SSD, as that’d likely be more reliable.
